Matt is a New York City based set and costume designer. While growing up in southern Connecticut, Matt was drawn to the theatre scene in New York from a young age. His love for the stage and passion for studio art inspired him to spend four years pursuing a BFA in Theater Design at the University of Connecticut.

Since graduating school in 2014, Matt has worked as an assistant to various New York designers, including David Zinn, Rachel Hauck, and (currently) Dane Laffrey.

Previous set design credits include: Burning Desire, a world premiere play written by Lou Diamond Phillips (Seven Angels Theater), double penny (Dixon Place), Halcyon Days (Chester Theater Company), Evita (Gallery Players), Legally Blonde, The Puppetmaster of Lodz, Romeo & Juliet, I'm Connecticut (Connecticut Repertory Theater). Previous costume design credits include: Punk Rock, The Puppetmaster of Lodz (Connecticut Repertory Theater), and Dogfight (Open Air Theater).

Matt’s work was showcased at the 2014 USITT Young Designer’s Forum, a juried exhibition featuring 15 of the top graduate/undergraduate design students in the country.
